Kittredge School
 





 

 
 
The Kittredge School Council was established in 1993 as defined by Massachusetts state law. Its purpose is to assist the principal with goal setting, budget and special programming. The council consists of the principal, three parents, two teachers and a community member who may not have children in the school. The parent and teacher members are elected by their respective constituencies.

A major responsibility of the council is to develop a School Improvement Plan for each academic year. Typically, a needs assessment is given to parents and staff in order to develop broad areas for improvement. Drafts of building initiatives are prepared, staff members provide suggestions for specific activities and the final document is prepared by the council for submission to the North Andover School Committee and the Kittredge community.

The major goals of the School Improvement Plan are expressed as "building initiatives." Building initiatives for the 1998-1999 school year are under construction. Previous initiatives are listed here while you wait:
