My first week at Kittredge Elementary has come to a close and I have never felt so welcomed to a new situation! The children, staff and parents have extended themselves making me feel like I have been a part of this community for years. Thank you!
It's hard to believe that the summer break is over and that the autumn season is fast approaching. We're looking forward to a school year that engages our students with a rigorous academic curriculum and, at the same time, is fun filled and exciting. At Kittredge Elementary, we put our students first. We are a nurturing community, providing a positive, caring and safe learning environment for all. After engaging staff in conversation, it has become apparent that we are enriched by our cultural and individual diversity, ensuring equal opportunity for all. All teachers and staff are committed to high quality and excellence. Kittredge is a community that cares about the total child at school, at home and in the community. We celebrate our accomplishments and believe in life long learning, supporting everyone in recognizing their individual gifts and reaching their fullest potential. Here at Kittredge, families, school and the community practice shared leadership and collaboration to help everyone succeed while remembering to utilize our resources to best meet the needs of students. We are guided by integrity, honesty and responsibility. I am thrilled to be part of the Kittredge community for the 2007-2008 school year.
Please feel free to contact me at anytime.

The 2nd Annual Walk-for-KidsThe North Andover Foundation for Education has completed its 1st year and was able to present the North Andover Public Schools with a donation that has partially funded an art teaching position at the High School. Without this additional teaching position, many high school students would have experienced very large art classes. With the addition of this teaching position, students will be more adequately scheduled and class size will be more reasonable. Thank you to everyone who has supported our efforts over the past year! We are planning the 2nd annual Walk-for-Kids on Saturday Sept 29th, registration begins at 10:00am. Plus, there will be live music with The Time Flies, games and refreshments. Please join us and help us improve and enrich the public schools in North Andover! If interested in volunteering an hour of your time for the walk, email Sue Donato, dsdonato@comcast.net.
Substitute Noon AttendantsIf you are interested in being on the Substitute Noon Attendant list, please call Pam McCarthy at +1 978 794 1688. The hours are 10:15 am to 1:15 pm.
