Enrichment Council Presents Musical Program

Elementary school students will see a unique musical program next week thanks to the North Andover Schools Enrichment Council. Johnny the K's "I Can, I Am, and I Will" program encourages children to develop a positive attitude about themselves and their world around them; demonstrate a sense of pride in their accomplishments; always be determined to do their best; and learn to cooperate with one another. This unique performance uses lively music, humor, and creativity to inspire social awareness, social skills, learning, and self-respect while also teaching language arts. For more info about this program, contact +1 978 681 1894. Ask your children to sing the melody from some of your favorite music!

Parent Resource Night
Tuesday, May 15th, 7:00 p.m., Franklin School

It is overwhelming for a parent of a child with special needs to know how to access services outside of the school environment and to be aware of the different agencies available and what each one offers. This night will bring together the various agencies in the Merrimack Valley area that could be of assistance to your family. This is an amazing night of many great resources all in one location to assist you in learning what is available for your child. The following agencies are confirmed to date: ARC of Greater Lawrence (Association for Retarded Citizens), Fidelity House, MA Department of Mental Retardation (DMR), Autism Support Center (ASC), North Andover Parent Advisory Council, and the MA Department of Mental Health (DMH). There will be a short presentation from each agency and they will then be available at tables for your specific/individual questions. Information will also be available at their tables. RSVP is necessary - please e-mail Mary Lou Connors by May 7th at connorsm@northandover.k12.ma.us.
