Parent Resource NightIt is overwhelming for a parent of a child with special needs to know how to access services outside of the school environment and to be aware of the different agencies available and what each one offers. This night will bring together the various agencies in the Merrimack Valley area that could be of assistance to your family. This is an amazing night of many great resources all in one location to assist you in learning what is available for your child. The following agencies are confirmed to date: ARC of Greater Lawrence (Association for Retarded Citizens), Fidelity House, MA Department of Mental Retardation (DMR), Autism Support Center (ASC), North Andover Parent Advisory Council, and the MA Department of Mental Health (DMH). There will be a short presentation from each agency and they will then be available at tables for your specific/individual questions. Information will also be available at their tables. RSVP is necessary - please e-mail Mary Lou Connors by May 7th at connorsm@northandover.k12.ma.us.
North Andover School's Enrichment Council Representatives NeededThe North Andover School's Enrichment Council ('NASEC') celebrated its twentieth year of volunteering in our schools this year. We are a non-profit council, representing each of our five elementary schools and the Middle School. Our mission is to provide balanced enrichment programming in Music, Theatre, Art, Dance, Science, History, and Language Arts.
Our programs function best in schools that provide several representatives who regularly attend our once-a-month meetings. I have enjoyed seeing wonderful shows, making new friendships in other school systems, enjoyed monthly interchange with reps from other schools, and most of all, I have immediate positive feedback - watching the sense of wonder and joy on our student audience's faces. If you'd like to become a NASEC rep for Kittredge, please contact +1 978 681 1894
