CORI Checks

In accordance with Section 2 of Chapter 385 M.G.L. c. 71, § 38R, the North Andover School Department requires all volunteers to have a CORI (criminal offender record information) check completed before volunteering in our schools. If you anticipate volunteering in any capacity during the school year we request that you begin the process now as it may take a couple of weeks for the CORI check to be completed. You may obtain the required form from Ms. McCarthy at the school office. Please remember that although this may be a minor inconvenience, it is in the best interest and ensures the safety of our children. CORI checks need to be resubmitted every 3 years.

Noon Attendants Needed

We are looking for noon attendants to work 2-3 hours during the lunch and recess period. Please inquire at the office if you are interested. We also need substitute noon attendants.

Quantity is limited per school and selected to represent student work. You can submit pictures, poems, short stories, jokes and cartoons. If you are interested in participating, submit your creation to Kristen Hollenbeck (back pack mail 5A) by November 15th. Labels For Education

There's a new way to help our school! As of this fall, Kittredge is signed up with the Campbell's "Labels for Education" program. What we do is save labels or UPCs (those black and white bar codes) from participating products such as Campbell's soup, Prego spaghetti sauce, Franco American pasta and many more. We send them in and get credit for school related items such as sports equipment, books, software, classroom accessories etc.

The official website is www.labelsforeducation.com, there you will find details about which products participate, which labels or UPCs to save and much more. Watch your kids' backpacks for a flyer that will detail all eligible products. Any questions? Call Ingrid Marstaller at +1 978 682 8552, or e-mail Marstaller@rcn.com.

Shop and Support for the North Andover Youth Center

Tis the season to avoid those parking lots and hop online to start that holiday shopping. While doing that you can support the North Andover Youth Center. Visit www.northandoverkids.com and click on any of the over 140 online stores including Amazon.com, Walmart, Target, Toys 'R Us, iTunes and many more and any purchases result in commissions that are 100% donated to the Youth Center. There are no strings attached, no registration required and the experience is the same as going to the web sites directly yourself. But clicking on the links through this site results in financial support without any costs to you. This site is owned and operated by a Thomson parent (don.romano@northandover.org) and you may contact the North Andover Youth Center (www.nayouth.com) or Don if you have any questions. Forward this link to your friends and family to help.

The North Andover Parent Advisory Council for Children with Special Needs

Practices begin Tuesday November 21st from 6-7:30pm at the Youth Center. Please contact Kathleen Keith at northandovercrusaders@comcast.net for more info.
