Because there is no supervision on the playground until 8:00 a.m., children are not allowed to enter the playground until that time. If your children walk to school, please remind them to plan their departure from home accordingly. If you drop them off in a place other than the drop-off line, please plan your time accordingly as well.
Please check in at the office before walking through the building. There should be no one in the building after regular school hours. Children are not allowed to return for homework. We are trying to teach them to be responsible about remembering everything they need before they leave school at the end of the day. No one should be in the halls without permission after school hours. This is a safety matter. If no one knows you are in the building and an accident happens there could be serious consequences. Thank you for your help with these important safety issues.
Noon Attendants NeededWe are looking for noon attendants to work 2-3 hours during the lunch and recess period. Please inquire at the office if you are interested. We also need substitute noon attendants.

Labels For EducationThere's a new way to help our school! As of this fall, Kittredge is signed up with the Campbell's "Labels for Education" program. What we do is save labels or UPCs (those black and white bar codes) from participating products such as Campbell's soup, Prego spaghetti sauce, Franco American pasta and many more. We send them in and get credit for school related items such as sports equipment, books, software, classroom accessories etc.
The official website is www.labelsforeducation.com, there you will find details about which products participate, which labels or UPCs to save and much more. Watch your kids' backpacks for a flyer that will detail all eligible products. Any questions? Call Ingrid Marstaller at +1 978 682 8552, or e-mail Marstaller@rcn.com.

North Andover Youth Services Holiday Gift Drive 2006The Holiday Gift Drive is one of the most remarkable services North Andover Youth Services provides to families in our community. The drive addresses the issue of financial hardship by embracing the generosity of North Andover's residents, and organizing a sponsored exchange of donated gifts to families in need, within our very own community. Many of the families serviced would be without presents during the holidays, if it weren't for the kindness of North Andover's residents. Last year 85 of North Andover's families received assistance from this drive, and over 175 individual children benefited from the support of our community.
Sponsors can choose any number of children they wish to provide gifts for, and whether it is one child, or four from a family, each sponsor is the vital ingredient to success of the Holiday Gift Drive year after year. Youth Services is anticipating a growth in the number of families needing assistance this year, and we are eager to expand our pre-existing list of sponsors. To become a sponsor, please call Jenn Conway at North Andover Youth Services, +1 978 682 9000 ext 226, or e-mail her at jconway@nayouth.com, and request a sponsor form. The sponsor information forms are due by November 2nd, and deadlines do come quickly. Thank you for your heart and support. Please note the Kittredge Community takes part in this Gift Drive in each classroom.
