This year the Kittredge School will be participating in a Literacy Volunteer program offered in several of our elementary schools. We are looking for volunteers willing to commit to 2 days a week for about an hour each day, from October through April. The program targets students in 1st grade, but you do not have to have a child in 1st grade to participate. Training will be provided to all volunteers. Please contact the office if you are interested.
Pre-school siblings are not allowed on the playground during before school recess. We are concerned about the safety of these little ones playing with the older children before school. Thank you for your cooperation with this matter.
We have had several instances of children not being picked up after school in a timely manner. If you are going to be late picking your child up after school please call the school and let us know. There is no staff available to supervise children after 3:00 p.m. Therefore, if we have not heard from you by 3:00 p.m. and are unable to reach you, we will contact the police to help us locate you.
Before/After School ProgramsBuilding Structures begins Thursday, October 5th at 3:00 pm in the gym (don't forget a note for your child) and Chess Club begins Friday October 6th at 7:30am in the gym.

Sunshine MathThis is the last week to sign up for Sunshine Math. If you can't find your orange form, just email the following information to Kim Dawley at dawleys@comcast.net by Friday: child's name, grade/class (ie 3B), parent name, phone, and email. It's more work to add a child after the program starts than to have one drop out if they don't like it, so sign up and give it a try if you're curious. We also still need grade volunteers for Kindergarten and 5th grade. Call Kim at +1 978 682 1584 to find out what volunteering entails.
Building Structures (K-5)Building Structures starts this Thursday, October 5th. By popular demand, this program has been opened up to all grades. This year's stations will include "design a dream" (mapping on graph paper), "Paper planes", Kapla Blocks and cars and "Paper Scrapers". Program Chair: Ingrid Marstaller, Marstaller@rcn.com, +1 978 682 8552.
