North Andover Schools Enrichment CouncilThe fifth grade experienced "Techsploration: Ways to Keep Things Moving" with Tom Wahle last month. The program included both a morning assembly and individual class workshops. Mr. Wahle demonstrated rockets, jet cars, a hovercraft, a hot air balloon, and a radio-controlled blimp.
This hands-on program has been thoroughly enjoyed by North Andover fifth graders for years. The students learned about the basic principles and history of transportation and then focused on magnetic levitation-trains of the future in their workshops.

Memorial Park - Spring Cleanup and Plant DonationsThe Friends of Memorial Park have scheduled a cleanup of the Park for Saturday, May 13th, 2006 from 9:00 AM to Noon. Memorial Park is located across from the Library on Middlesex/Greene Streets. Please consider dropping by for an hour or two. Bring rakes, shovels, saws and gloves and wheelbarrows. We will be removing trash which has accumulated over the winter as well as replenishing the mulch. We will also be utilizing a new way of edging the beds. Why not come and learn this innovative new way of edging your beds while beautifying the Park at the same time. For more information, please contact Phila Slade at +1 978 683 9282. The friends also wish to acknowledge the support of Peter Breen who has supplied mulch for the spring and fall cleanups for several years and for the local Boys Scouts and many volunteers who have supported the cleanup efforts in the past.
