MCAS Information

MCAS Reading and English Language Arts tests will be administered from March 27th to April 7th in grades 3, 4 and 5. The test schedule is as follows:

Grades 3 and 5Grade 4

Thursday, March 30thMonday, April 3rd
 Tuesday, April 4th
 Wednesday, April 5th (Long Composition make-up test)

The remaining days will be used for make-up tests. It is important for your children to be present and on time, get plenty of sleep and have a good breakfast. Please encourage your children to do their best! MCAS Math, Science and History/Social Science tests will be administered in May in grades 3, 4, and 5. Thank you for your continued cooperation and support.

School Committee Meeting

Tuesday March 21st, 6:30pm at the NAHS Auditorium. North Andover Board of Selectmen, Finance Committee, Senators Baddour and Tarr and State Reps Torrisi and L'Italien will be there.

Destination Imagination Tournament

Congratulations to both Kittredge DI teams who placed in this weekends regional tournament. The Darth Andover; Kelsey MacMillan, Alex MacMillan, Matthew Stavros, Emily Biermann, Erik Hollenbeck and Emily Colwell came in 2nd in their challenge "Back at You". The Kittredge Pharoahs; Owen O'Leary, Jeffrey Martelli, Abbie Weeks, Jenny Barker, Erin Gianetti and Lindon Pulley placed 3rd out of 14 teams in their challenge, "How'd They Do That". These teams exhibited tremendous creativity, problem solving and most importantly teamwork. As a DI rule, interference from parents/team managers is not allowed at any time throughout the months of work. Therefore, complete recognition for their accomplishment goes to them.

Fourth Annual Family Skate Night

Skate night was held at Skateland last Tuesday, March 14th, and was a huge success. Thanks to all who organized the event and we hope all Kittredge families had a great time.

Asthma and Allergy Support Group

Please join us for a presentation on "Food Allergies and Anaphylaxis" by Dr. Michael Young, author of The Peanut Allergy Answer Book on Wednesday, March 22nd, 7:00PM at the Atkinson Elementary School Cafeteria. Snack Price Increase

Remember: beginning Monday, February 27th, all snacks have increased to $.75 each.

Registration now for 2006 North Andover Boosters Club Football, Cheerleading and Field Hockey Programs

On-line registration is now open for 2006 North Andover Boosters Club Football, Cheerleading and Field Hockey programs. On-line registration is quick and easy. To access On-line registration, go to www.eteamz.com/nabc and select your sport. New and returning players may register on-line for Football and Field Hockey. Only returning players may register on-line for Cheerleading. New cheerleaders to the program MUST attend a walk-in registration. North Andover Children entering grades 5 through 8 in the fall of 2006 are eligible for the Football and Cheerleading Programs. North Andover children entering grades 6 through 8 in the fall of 2006 are eligible for the Field Hockey Program. All programs required volunteers.

Football and Cheerleading walk-in registrations will be held on Tuesday, April 25th and Tuesday, May 2nd from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm in the NAMS cafeteria.

Field Hockey walk-in registration will be held on Thursday, May 4th from 6:00 - 8:00 pm in the NAMS cafeteria.

Lost Coat - Father/Daughter Dance

On Saturday, February 11th at the Father/Daughter Dance, a charcoal grey cashmere, 3-button dress coat, size 42/44 Long was taken by someone in error. Could you please check your closet and confirm that you took home the correct coat. If you discover you have the wrong one, please call Bill at +1 617 248 5177. Your coat is waiting for you in return.
