Dear Families,
Welcome or welcome back to the Kittredge School! We return to school energized and refreshed, filled with enthusiasm and anticipation about the 2005-2006 school year. We are especially excited to have Kindergarten back in the elementary schools. Here at Kittredge we have just one half-day session. The full-day Kittredge Kindergarteners are attending the Atkinson School. Ms. Stacey Wood is our Kindergarten teacher. We have a few other new staff members at Kittredge. Ms. Cypriana Slosky, our former music teacher, is teaching second grade this year. We are sharing our Music teacher, Ms. Jenn Dennett, our Guidance Counselor, Ms. Barbara Meyer, and our Library Media Specialist, Ms. Anne Bate with the Atkinson School. Ms. Mary Cay Richard is a new Special Education teacher, and Ms. Karen Lahey is the new Physical Ed teacher. Both Ms. Richard and Ms. Lahey transferred to Kittredge from the High School. Ms. Chris Cina is the new Speech and Language teacher, coming from the Franklin School, and Ms. Julie Nally joins us from the Thomson School as the new Reading teacher. Mr. Ralph Matthes is the new custodian. You may remember him from the Bradstreet School. Finally, we have a new noon attendant, Ms. Stacey Cupka. Welcome to all of our new staff members!
I'd like to remind you of a few important measures we have in place in order to ensure the safety of our students. Please send in a note if you intend to make a change in your child's end of day pick-up routine. Sometimes it is confusing for your child to remember without a note to the teacher. We ask all visitors to sign in at the office and take a visitor's tag, even if your visit will be a quick one. Not a safety concern but a housekeeping one - please call the school if your child is going to be tardy and needs to order a lunch. Lunches are ordered around 9:00 a.m.
The Kittredge School Open House will be held on Wednesday September 21, from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. This is your opportunity to meet your child's teachers and learn about the curriculum for the upcoming year.
Finally, please never hesitate to contact me with any concerns, questions or ideas you may have. Together we can make this year a successful one for all of the Kittredge School Community.

NAPAC MeetingThe North Andover Parent Advisory Council For Children With Special Needs (NAPAC) will be hosting a "meet and greet" on Thursday September 22nd, 2005, at 7:00 pm at the NAHS library. We invite parents and staff to meet the new Assistant Superintendent Dr. Richard Bergeron and Cheryl Raimondo who will be filling the position of Special Education Director in February 2006, when Jackie McVeigh retires from her post.
