From the Health Office

Occasionally, students may need to change clothing during the school day due to spilling drinks, wet playground conditions, or other accidents. If you are doing fall cleaning and you have clothing in good condition that your children have outgrown, please consider donating it to the health office. The following items would be appreciated: boys and girls sweatpants, shirts, underwear, and socks in various sizes.

Thanksgiving Food Drive

Parents, Be looking for information in the backpack concerning the traditional Thanksgiving Food Drive. Thank you for helping those in our community who are in need during this upcoming holiday season.

North Andover Recreational Basketball
Wednesday, November 10th, 6:30-8:30
Atkinson Cafeteria

The North Andover Recreation Department will hold registrations for the Saturday Morning Basketball Program for boys and girls in Grades 2, 3 and 4 on Wednesday, November 10th, at the Atkinson School Cafteria from 6:30 - 8:30 pm. Grades 2 and 3 will be an instructional program and Grade 4 will be a league with an eight game schedule and playoffs. Schedules of times and gyms will be given out at registrations. The cost is $30 for Grades 2 and 3 and $50 for Grade 4. Any questions or anyone interested in coaching, call Bill McCarthy at +1 978 975 3783.

Tea and Conversation Through the Centuries

Join us for a wonderful FAMILY program on Nov. 13, 2004, 2~4PM at the Stevens Memorial Library. The program will be "Tea and Conversation Through the Centuries With Anne Dudley Bradstreet (1612-1672) and Harriet Beecher Stowe (1811-1896)". A Midsummer Night's Dream
Come See a Performance November 11th, 13th or 14th!

The North Andover High School Drama Guild will present Shakespeare's enchanted play "A Midsummer Night's Dream" on Thursday, November 11th at 7:30pm; Saturday, November 13th at 7:30 pm; and Sunday, November 14th at 2 pm at the NAHS Auditorium. Health Advisory Council Meeting

The Health Advisory Council of North Andover Public Schools will hold its next meeting Tuesday November 16th from 2:45 to 4:00pm at the Bradstreet School. This Council monitors health trends and advised school administration on health related issues. We are currently seeking new members: teachers, community members, other school employees, parents. This Council typically meets monthly during the school year. Asthma and Allergy Support Group
Wednesday, Novenber 17th, NAMS, 7:00 pm

Mark your calendars for the next Asthma and Allergy Support Group meeting on Wednesday, November 17th at the NAMS at 7:00 PM. Our next program will be on "Asthma Management and the Gadgets and Gizmos Needed to Provide It." Andover Pediatrics' RN, and three North Andover School Nurses will discuss how to assure you and your child feel comfortable delivering your medications, evaluating their effectiveness, and coordinating your care between the MD's office, home and school. Girls Hockey

The Andover Hockey Association is sponsoring a girls-only entry level hockey program serving the Greater Merrimack valley. Our goal is to teach girls with 0-2 years of experience the fundamentals of ice hockey - skating, stick-handling, passing, and shooting - while emphasizing skill development, cooperation, fair play, fitness, safety and, most importantly, fun. The program is for girls 4 to 10 years old who have 2 or less years of experience - newcomers to skating and ice hockey encouraged and welcome. The games will be played at the Harrison Rink at Phillips Academy. The season will begin on November 13th and end February 28, Saturday and Sundays. North Andover Booster Club Wrestling Registration

Kittredge School Council Member Needed

The Kittredge School Council is looking for a member of our community would be interested in giving us some feedback about our school issues at our monthly school council meeting. Openings on North Andover Cultural Council

The North Andover Cultural Council has two openings for volunteers. This committee distributes state money through a com-petitive grant process to members of our community involved in artistic or cultural pursuits. The Council helps support school field trips, events for seniors, events at the library, concerts on the common and more. Youth Center - Volunteer Needed

We are looking for a motivated individual to help us with our technology lab at the Youth Center.
