Please be sure to come to our Open House on Wednesday, September 22. We will gather in the cafeteria briefly to introduce the Kittredge staff and then proceed to the classrooms. This is your opportunity to meet your child's teachers and learn about the curriculum for the upcoming year.
Last year's 4th MCAS results are expected to be sent home on Thursday with the 5th grade students. Please watch for them in a sealed envelope.
Finally, please never hesitate to contact me with any concerns, questions or ideas you may have. Together we can make this year a successful one for all of the Kittredge School Community.

Well, Mother Nature teased us for a bit on Friday, and the 5th Annual Family Fun Night got off to a great start ... for the first 30 minutes or so. A rainstorm intruded and forced us to discontinue the event much earlier than scheduled. In spite of the showers and no DJ or organized games, many families hung on and still enjoyed the food as well as the company of their Kittredge friends. The Family Fun Night organizing committee would like to say a huge THANK YOU to all the Family Fun Night volunteers for your time and effort at our short-lived event this year. We couldn't do it without you! We'd also like to express our gratitude to John from Creative Buffet, who supplied the food, and to Brad, the DJ from Cohen Productions. Thanks also to the Kittredge staff and all the Kittredge families and friends who attended on Friday night in spite of the "iffy" weather situation, and who persevered in the face of the dark clouds. Your participation and support for this annual family event are what makes Kittredge a great school community.
Since we were unable to host all events planned for the evening, we are willing to refund the admission paid by families. If you are interested in a refund, please contact one of the organizers - Tina Shumway +1 978 687 8580, Kris Galvin +1 978 689 3067, or Lisa Martelli +1 978 685 3312 by September 30th.

Cub Scout RegistrationCub Scout registration will be on Tuesday, September 21st and Thursday, September 30th, 7 pm at the Franklin School. Cub Scouts is for boys who are in grades 1-5. Returning scouts do not need to attend registration, they can re-register with their leader.
Recycling At Kittredge SchoolParents, The North Andover School District is making an effort to recycle more paper and containers. There is a blue recycling bin in the lunch room for plastic bottles and aluminum cans. Remind your child to recycle his disposable EMPTY drink container from lunch.
We are still involved in the "Cartridges for Kids" program and any cartridges and cell phones that you collected over the summer can be brought to school for the collection box in the entry. Remember to put all cartridges in ziploc bags to prevent leakage. The first check from last year's accumulation of phones and cartridges is on its way. When the total is in, it will be published in Newslink. Thanks for your participation in this program. Any questions, call Beth Carlson at +1 978 557 5633.
