Dear Families,
Welcome or welcome back to the Kittredge School! Thank you all for helping to make our opening a safe and smooth one. We return to school energized and refreshed, filled with enthusiasm and anticipation about the 2004-2005 school year. I'd like to welcome our new staff members: Ms. Mary Hadjian is the school nurse. You may remember Ms. Hadjian as the nurse at the Bradstreet School. Ms. Stacey Bogue is the guidance counselor. Ms. Cypriana Slosky, a former second grade teacher at the Sargent School is the music teacher. We have 2 new teaching assistants, Ms. Shannon Roger and Ms. Marian McPartlin. Finally, we have 2 new noon attendants, Ms. Jan Sullivan and Ms. Erleen (Agnes) Wayan. Welcome to all of our new staff members!
This year, weather permitting, we will be gathering outside for opening exercises when the first bell rings at 8:15 a.m. It is an opportunity for us to greet one another each day, acknowledge birthdays, and simply share a smile. We hope your child will enjoy this new practice.
Please be sure to come to our Open House on Wednesday, September 22nd from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. It is your opportunity to meet your child's teachers and learn about the curriculum for the upcoming year.
Finally, thank you for the warm welcome you have extended to me as I begin my tenure at Kittredge after 10 years as principal of the Thomson School. I already feel at home! Please never hesitate to contact me with any concerns, questions or ideas you may have. Together we can make this year a successful one for all of the Kittredge School Community.
Nancy Jukins
Principal
